\nThe Gda\u0144sk workshop focusing on commercialisation and spin-off support was successfully held. On 14 May 2026, the second thematic workshop of the \"V4 for Innovation: Knowledge Transfer Cooperation of V4 Countries\" project took place in Gda\u0144sk, focusing on the commercialisation of research results and the support of spin-off companies.\n<\/h5>

\nThe event was organised by the University of Gda\u0144sk Technology Transfer Office, under the consortium leadership and coordination of SZTE TTC. The workshop aimed to provide researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and investors with practical tools and a collaborative learning environment to address the key aspects of market exploitation, funding opportunities, and spin-off development. In line with the project's concept, the Polish workshop focused specifically on commercialisation challenges, regional opportunities, and strengthening spin-off companies through an interactive \"one-on-one idea fair\" format based on personal discussions.\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

\nThe programme was opened by Katarzyna Gronowska, Director of the University of Gda\u0144sk Technology Transfer Office, followed by a keynote presentation from Associate Professor Marcin Paw\u0142owski, who explored the challenges and potential solutions related to establishing spin-off companies. This was followed by presentations on the innovation ecosystem of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and a practical introduction to the Swedish Innovation Readiness Level\u2122 model, helping participants prepare their own innovations for successful market entry. During the second half of the day, V4 experts worked together with participants across three thematic stations\u2014Business + Customer, Technology + IPR, and Funding + Team. The collaborative sessions resulted in practical frameworks and exercises that participants can apply in their own research commercialisation and business development activities. Representing SZTE TTC, Bulcsu G\u00f6dri contributed as both an expert and moderator, reinforcing the workshop's strong commercialisation focus.\n<\/div>
\nAs the consortium leader, we consider the Gda\u0144sk workshop a key milestone in the project. Together with the previous workshop in Ko\u0161ice, it contributes to building a practical knowledge base that will support the upcoming workshop in Brno and the final conference in Szeged, while strengthening the long-term knowledge transfer capacity of the V4 region.\n<\/div>
