
SZTE Virtus Club kicked-offg on the 17th of September 2025, creating a dynamic platform where the University of Szeged connects researchers, students, and industry partners to address today’s technological, scientific, and societal challenges. The first event spotlighted the industrial applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, along with cybersecurity and data protection. Experts shared insights into how AI can drive business efficiency, foster societal development, and generate real value when integrated into business processes.
A key milestone was the announcement of the SZTE Proof of Concept (PoC) program by András Ujhegyi, CEO of SZTE TTC Zrt. The initiative provides targeted support for business ideas and research results on their journey from laboratory stage to market-ready solutions, strengthening cooperation between academia and industry.
With this launch, the University of Szeged continues to expand its innovation ecosystem, turning research excellence into tangible, market-driven opportunities.
